Sonic gets an invitation from Dr. Eggman in which he will take over the world in 3 days. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles team up to fight Eggman. Amy, Cream, and Big team up to find their lost pals (Sonic, Chocola, and Froggy respectively). Rouge releases a Shadow and Her, Shadow, and the released E123-Omega team up to go find Eggman, and Team Chaotix consisting of Vector, Charmy, and Espio are on a detective mission.
